  • First Class first five-year Diploma (with distinction) in Applied Art, College of Art, Chandigarh- 1968

Exhibitions:

  • Held 37 shows [solo (11) joint (26) – Bombay, New Delhi, Amritsar and Chandigarh] since 1966: These shows include an innovative “Pocket Show” of miniature drawings done on the rear of used visiting cards –1989; an experimental show of drawings done on the photographs of Vijay Ozo -1991; a first ever show, in Chandigarh, of Computer-drawings -1997; and a protest show of drawings, against the destruction of Bamian Buddha statues, in a Show Window in sector 17 - 2001

  • PUBLISHED: hundreds of articles, book/art reviews in various leading journals/dailies including The Illustrated Weekly of India, India Today, The Week, The Hindu, The Economic Times, The Hindustan Times, The Indian Express, The Statesman and The Tribune
  • REVIEWED local art activities for The Hindu’s Delhi edition, for more than 15 years 1988-2003
  • CO-EDITED an Art-journal, SOLIDS, for a few years
  • CONVENED a first ever, in Chandigarh, art exhibition of Satish Gujral -1994

  • BEFORE RETIRING as the PRINCIPAL of Govt. College, sector 11, Chandigarh in 2004, worked here as THE HEAD OF THE FINE ARTS DEPARTMENT continuously for 36 years
